Geoff Tate Interview

Postby strangeways » Wed Apr 11, 2012 7:05 pm

Looking forward to it.

If you haven't already done the interview a question from a life long Ryche fan (tattoo on my arm to prove it) - will Queensryche or Tate solo ever do another album with producer Neil Kernon?

It's already in the can. Our time together was short ... No time for wine talk, either.

This should be a good one. I tend to only listen when James does an interview with someone that I know. Looking forward to this one.

[Paging strangeways to this thread]

WTF?!?!?! PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS TO ME

Tate sounded fairly down to earth in the interview, but that pic (the eyes . . . they burn . . . ) and the Oklahoma thing - not . . . good . . .

Yeah, I'm not sure what exactly is going on with Geoff/the band. Bands are silly.

I think that pic is from a 'cabaret' tour that was performed recently.

Things are coming to a head in the Ryche camp that's for sure!
Geoff has been steering the good ship Queensryche for many a moon now and with each release it's been getting worse and worse in many a Ryche fan's opinion. I don't hate the post DeGarmo (original guitarist that left) era as much as some but it's certainly not been a picnic. This has led to things blowing up as you read in the article you posted.
To make matters worse the other members in Queensryche have now been denied access to their own facebook page via Mr. Tate.

The other members of Queensryche are doing an interview via their new band Rising West.....

Rising West will be interviewed on this coming Thursday's (June 7) edition of "The Men's Room", which airs on the Seattle station KISW 99.9 FM. You can listen to the program live via the Internet at link beginning at 4:30 p.m. PST.

I actually live out in the Seattle area, so I will try to tune in. Honestly, I understand bands not wanting to repeat themselves, but this stuff was the shit.
